Lifesong Kids FAQ
Welcome to Lifesong Kids! Being new to Lifesong we are sure you have many questions, especially when you have kids. Here are a few key discussions to help you get started with Lifesong Kids.
First time at Lifesong Kids?
Our Heartbeat team will gladly take you to the designated area for kids check-in. We will meet your family and check your child into our system. Once your family is checked in, one of our volunteers will be happy to show you the age appropriate room we have created for your child.
We will ask for the following personal information: family member's names, children's names and birth dates, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child(ren).
You and your child(ren) will be given matching identification numbers that are exclusive to your family during your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion of your matching identification tag which bears a number that is matched to your portion. During checkout, you will return to your child's room and show your tag and ID in order for your child to be released back to you.
If we need to reach you while you are in service we will send a text to you with your identification number and your child's name. As soon as you see that number, we would ask that you exit the service and meet a volunteer at the same place you checked your child in. Or a Lifesong Kids volunteer will come to you.
What are your procedures for keeping the children safe and accounted for?
Safety and security are our first priority at Lifesong Kids. We have systems in place to ensure that each child is checked in and accounted for at all times while participating. Children cannot be picked up by an adult without the identification tag that is given at check-in and an ID. Parents can be notified at any time by text message if they are needed in the children's area or a volunteer will come to you.
Who will be working with my child?
Lifesong Kids volunteers are dedicated and see it as an honor to serve the children and their families. All of our volunteers pass security screenings before working with the children.
What else so I need to know about Lifesong Kids?
Our check-in opens 20 minutes before service, try to arrive at least 15 minutes before the service so you can enjoy the entire service.
Please label your child's belongings before you arrive (bags, bottles, sippy cups, pacifiers, ect...)
If a Lifesong Kids volunteer needs to contact you during service, you will receive a text message with your identification number and child's name or they will come to you.
To ensure the health of children and volunteers, we ask that sick do not attend Lifesong Kids until they are fully healed.
Safety and security are our first priority you must have the identification tag with you to pick up your child after service as well as an ID.
